How it all started...
In March of 2022, Josh and Kayla Loomis started to pray about planting a new church in Champaign-Urbana, IL. Connecting with other pastors in the area, they felt confirmation from the Lord that there was a need for more gospel preaching churches in the area.
Continuing to follow the Lord, Josh and Kayla moved to Champaign in July 2023 with their family and Josh began a two-year church planting residency at Christ Community Church in Champaign.

Expanding the vision...
Embedded within Christ Community CU from July 2023 until May of 2025, we prayed for a group of 40 adults to commit themselves to the multiplication of the kingdom of God and gospel witness in Champaign-Urbana.
Where we are headed...
In pursuit of impacting Champaign-Urbana for the kingdom of God, our core team will launch public services on September 7th, 2025, at The Venue CU. Seeking to tell the world about Jesus, we will study the gospel of Mark together with an aim for sharing the gospel with those who do not yet know Jesus and for all of us to become more like Jesus.
